Employer Sign-Ups
Sign your adult character up here to get an intern in January

The Ministry of Magic's newest addition to the integrated school system comes in the form of an internship program. Adults across the wizarding world will be taking in sixth and seventh year students for the month of January to assist them in their jobs, and to help the students learn something about their potential future career.

This is your opportunity for your adult characters to sign up to become supervisors of an intern in January. Absolutely any adult character (as in graduated, no longer in school) with a job can take on an intern, from the Minister of Magic down to a bartender in Hogsmeade. And even if you don't think your character would want an intern, remember they could always be forced into having one by their boss - and that always makes for fun drama.

Sign-up below! The student sign up is now up as well over here, so make sure you hurry up if you want someone to sign-up with you! These will officially close on the 30th of September so get in before then.

Assistant to the Chief of Staff

Will work in the Head Office of the U.K. Ministry of Magic outside the office of the Chief of Staff. Monday to Friday 8-4 (officially, but if you go home before 7 you're not working hard enough). Can take on multiple interns but would prefer as few as possible. He will take on three at most, because that's what his colleagues in the Head Office are doing and he's literally only agreeing to this because of the pressure from them anyway.

Filing paperwork, scheduling meetings, taking messages, booking conference rooms, attending press events, drafting documents, etc.

A quick OOC note, Ed does not want an intern at all. He's accepting one because Oswald suggested it and he wants to please his boss, but he will not want them around at all. Any work he gives them he will probably say is unsatisfactory and redo it himself no matter how good their attempt was. So I would recommend this internship to someone who wants clashing and work-place drama and that sort of thing, because Ed will not treat them well.

Wright Anything Agency Intern

Working from one of the tiny Wizengamot offices, or, more likely, from the Wright family home because its much more comfortable there. Technically Monday to Friday 9 to 5, but sometimes they just won't have much to do so can go home early. Potentially can take on more than one intern but they'd probably end up bored if he does so he'll cap it at two for now. The role encompasses the whole agency, so though it is primarily law based, it may involve work on the school/ministry integration system, or on magic shows...

Assisting with case research and investigation (if they actually get a case in that month which isn't a guarantee...), attending court for experience, drafting documents and attending meetings relating to the integration systems (and keeping it confidential of course!), attending and assisting at Wizengamot hearings, partaking in game nights and meals out (an integral part of the role of course), helping with and watching Trucy's magic shows (yes this is also important), and whatever else needs doing on a day to day basis.

Just like the agency itself, this role is a bit eclectic and will really come down to helping out with whatever Phoenix is doing at the moment, and will probably change daily.

Ministry of Magic Press Secretary

Interns will work in the Head Office in and around the Press Secretary office, at the Ministry of Magic, Monday-Friday 8-4. Three interns maximum

You will do lots and lots of paperwork, more paperwork then you can deal with. You will also help with compiling media for Burke to use and sorting it so he can reference it easier. You'd also get to go to some press events probably, though behind the scenes. Honestly its pretty boring but its also a much less stressful front row seat to the Head Office drama then Ed's internship is

Burke probably will be a pretty chill boss believe it or not, mostly because he has bigger worries then micromanaging his interns, like if anything he'll be pretty distant. Also you'll have a bunch of confidentiality forms to sign off and if you leak ANYTHING that should not be leaked, then you'll be in a world of trouble. That being said if you're UP for being in a world of trouble, go for it, I love drama.

EUROPEAN MOM INTERN

Intern will work wherever the Minister does, generally between the Head Offices of the U.K, France and Bulgarian Ministries. This is a Monday to Friday Internship from 7-4 with variations depending on situations.

This role will grant the Intern a look into the workings of establishing the new European Ministry of Magic as well as the responsibilities that the Minister has to undertake. There will be paperwork to deal with, however there are promises of much fieldwork visiting the people and helping out where possible. Should it come up you will also be asked to give your personal opinion about situations, giving you a say in what happens during your Internship.

In Character, Mavis is going to be pretty laid back about who she takes on. Yeah there's only one position because having more than one could mean chaos at this point in time. I doubt she'll treat her intern as such, probably show them the ropes and try to treat them as a friend or family. \o\

Auror

Interns will work from Monday to Friday, 9-5, in the Auror officers within the United Kingdom Ministry of Magic. There may be extra hours if required.

As an auror intern, the student will be required to file paperwork and other such documentation. On low tier difficulty missions, the intern will be able to accompany Corvo into the field under strict supervision.

Corvo will only be taking on one intern who must be doing extremely well in their defence against the dark arts classes.

Intern to the Minister of Magic

M-F, 9-5, but don't overwork yourself. Ozzie likes keeping an eye out on his workers; well rested ones are more productive, after all. There may be additional opportunities for special events. Won't have a solid location; instead, Oswald's intern(s) will be floaters. He has capped his interns at three, because he doesn't want to be too busy babysitting to actually take care of Ed his work.

Odds and ends. Tasks Oswald has forgotten passed on to them, from filing, to coffee runs, to getting updates from various Ministry departments. All interns will likely be cross-trained to handle a few different areas, but specialize in 1-2 departments themselves.

Os probably treats his interns more like the kids than the ones that actually live with him. He won't baby then and is def the sort to treat them to surprise lunches/parties/exciting activities. He wishes a lot of this guidance was around when he was starting out in the real world, so he is going to try and help students in the same fashion.

PSYCHIATRIST INTERN

This internship will involve highly irregular hours. You may be called in at any day at any time, including the middle of the night. While the primary location is Arkham Asylum, you may have to spend time at Azkaban Prison, so priority will be given to applicants with some form of dementor resistance. A single intern is preferred, but up to three will be taken if there are enough qualifying applicants. Accepted applicants will be required to sign confidentiality forms.

The intern's primary job with be paperwork and fetching things; they will be allowed to sit in during sessions with less high-risk patients (hence the importance of the confidentiality forms). Applicants need to be of the compassionate sort, but also those of strong nerve, as Dr. Quinzel's patients can be dangerous if not properly handled. Time will be spent cataloguing and keeping track of both your and Dr. Quinzel's hectic schedule.

Harley's a very nice person in most cases, especially with kids, so she'll treat her interns well, at least unless they cause harm or disrespect to her patients. She's very passionate about her job, as well as high energy, so keeping up with her may be difficult.

PUBLIC HEALTH INTERN

Flexible hours; three days a week. The intern will be stationed at Hogwarts with occasional visits to the other Wizarding schools and the regular Public Health office at the Ministry. She will only be taking on one intern.

Rest assured, this intern won't be doing coffee runs or making copies! They will be very involved in lesson planning, grading, and maybe have the opportunity to give a lesson or two. It's going to be demanding, but it'll look good after graduation.

Van will just have completed her training when she takes on her own intern. So whoever she has should be p flexible because she lowkey has no idea what she's doing. She also sees this as free labor and may occasionally overwork/expect way too much out of an intern so she can take a shortcut/break.

AIDE TO HEADMISTRESS OF HOGWARTS

Located conveniently at Hogwarts Castle, this student intern would have flexible hours to work around their other activity schedules such as Quidditch or club events. Headmistress Raskoph believes a student's first responsibility should be their schoolwork and extra curriculars they've already made commitments to, and therefore wouldn't dream of putting unnecessary pressure on her intern to show up constantly at her beck and call. Since a Headmistress's work is never truly finished even when the day is done, there is very likely to be something she can find for them to do no matter the hour. She would prefer to take no more than two interns, and would prefer that they have good academic standing and little to no bad marks from professors as far as conduct. She won't waste this opportunity on someone who is going to blow it off or waste her time when someone better suited could have the position.

The Headmistress was a professor for two decades before rising to the position she's in now, so you can expect her to have a full lesson plan laid out for her interns detailing what they will be learning and why those tasks are important in getting experience in this position. They won't be just a gopher cleaning out Rein's carcasses from his nest. A great deal of time is spent doing paperwork and meeting with professors and students to hear concerns and suggestions for the school. Her aide will be a personal assistant, taking notes and helping to organize the chaos that comes with running the day to day operations of an educational and residential facility. The interns should be students who are respectful and can be discrete and closed-mouth about whatever confidential things they may hear about their peers or professors during meetings when they take minutes or sort grievances.

Interns will learn skills of delegation, mediation, organization, patience, self-discipline, self-motivation, and how to lead by example. These are things that will be useful no matter the field they decide to go into after graduation. And a letter of recommendation from the Headmistress of Hogwarts herself, detailing the good work they did while under her supervision, is sure to be a safe bet attached to any future application.

SHOP INTERNS

This internship can work around basically everything. Days and hours are flexible, and can be extended into holidays if so desired. Shifts during business hours are preferred (between 9-7). 2 interns can be taken in at all of Edna's shop locations (London, Paris, Scandinavia), which include both the magical and muggle sides since they're connected.

Interns would help with the day to day runnings of the shops and helping E with the clothes creations. If design is your passion, there is also room for you to design with E and have works sold at the shops. If potions and behind the scenes are more your style, let Edna know, and she'll see what you two can do together.

Edna is really looking forward to interns. And she likes fresh looks on things. And if your character is looking into fashion as a post school option, E can put in a good word for you if you try to join up with a different designer or set off on your own. Interns must be able to work on their own, since Edna can't be in three-or if you want to look at it in the muggle/wizard respect, *six*-places at once, and they'll learn how and when to trust their judgement, cause fashion isn't an exact science, darling.

HEALER INTERN

This internship would require permissions to go to St. Mungo's for shifts three times of week. The time of day is totally on your availability, and could even be weekends if that works best for your schedule. Doctor Maddox is looking for up to two interns at this time, who would work with him and Ms. Rapunzel Gothel, an intern continuing from the summer holiday. Scrubs or special robes are not required, since scrubs will be signed out to you at the beginning of the internship (you may bring your own if you so wish).

Interns may be expected to take stock of supplies in the varying wards Dr. Maddox is visiting that day, and potentially replenish the more common potions as necessary. As time progresses interns may help tend patients that come in with minor injuries, and help do rounds through the shift as needed. But, in the end what an intern will do will depend on what aspect of healing resonates best with them.

Baymax's life basically revolves around St. Mungo's, so there really isn't any specific time they *have* to be in to get hours, because he will most likely be there. Interns should be able to work on their own and with others, since Baymax can't be there at every moment. Interns will learn to be self-motivated in that respect, and the more apt they are at potions, the better, since they are a substantial part of the medicine practiced at St. Mungo's.

Defence Against the Dark Arts Apprentice Professor

The internship would take place in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry and run for the month of January. They will be working fairly flexible hours and they would be provided their own living quarters. Once an apprentice herself, Rayne does not expect the world of her intern, although she does require that her students and intern have a very good relationship with her. She will take on no more then one apprentice, unable to handle more then one. There isn't a dress code, other then the usual robe, however Rayne tends to be incredibly relaxed in regards to dress code.

They will be helping with creating lesson plans for the students, performing certain spells and learning from Rayne's experiences as a professor. They will need to be on time and organized as always. They will also be used as tutors in helping other students who struggle in DADA, so they must be able to adapt to different styles of learning and be quick to solve the problem. They have very free reign and Rayne isn't someone who needs them there 24/7, so they have time to themselves if necessary.

Rayne is very nervous to be taking on an apprentice/intern, but she feels she's ready for it. It will be a learning experience for both Rayne and the intern, but it will also help with Rayne's fear of failing her students. Rayne is a very maternal figure and I assume she will hold both her intern and students in a very same way. Rayne does not believe herself to know everything, nor is it in her will to learn everything. Rayne is constantly learning and she will gladly listen to anyone's statements or concerns.

AUROR'S ASSISTANT

Franziska is willing to take on up to two interns who will help her with various aspects of her job; while she adamant that interns must be of the 'highest caliber', she'll really take just about anyone. Duties will include helping with paperwork, fetching coffee, and occasionally maybe getting shot at if anyone wild rolls by with a bone to pick with Franziska. Who knows. Things can get intense.

Internship hours are simple: Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 (or 10 to 6, if they want the little bit of extra sleep). Franziska can ask for more time if needed, but will try her best to avoid this. Basically, just be there when she asks.

Franziska's biggest concern with this internship is that she might be discovered in her relationship with Adrian, seeing as both interns are very close with her. Therefore Franziska is likely to pick someone involved with the LGBT community (though it doesn't really matter, but if your character is out this is the internship for you!!) Franziska really does expect a lot out of her interns, but will be surprisingly accommodating if they need assistance. She'll do her best to not be a tyrant and will likely come to trust her interns very, VERY much.

PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

Haruka's only looking to take on one intern, and it's gonna be wild. She doesn't expect this intern to be in her presence at all times, but does expect to be able to call them whenever she needs. As a representative of the Japanese Quidditch team, Haruka has to keep a clean PR image, and while she does have actual people doing this for her, she wants a personal touch and wants to train this last intern herself, so: if you're the lucky one, expect a lot of phone calls. At any time of the day. Usually really, really late at night.

The intern will be essentially learning how to cover up disaster and other things; Haruka's a drunken mess but this is a semi-well-kept secret, partially due to her PR team. They will be expected to be willing to work with Haruka one-on-one if needed to. The intern will also be taught broom method, and how to walk/stand/behave in a 'celebrity' fashion; Haruka is charismatic as hell, so she will be working to aid the intern in this regard. Think of it as a symbiotic relationship.

Unofficial duties of the intern include helping Haruka sober up a little bit. She opted for an intern because she needs the companionship and is going a bit restless in her current life, so helping someone young learn what not to become is a good idea. However, this is a genuine (and very reputable) internship, despite Haruka's unique views on it all. She will be genuinely trying to assist the intern as she can, and also trying to help them boost their own self confidence. Expect a lot of heart-to-heart talking, maybe.
