Piper Isley was a genius. A fiery haired, emerald eyed, genius who had finally managed to get an exhibit in the most prestigous museum in the world. Her work as a botanist was world renound, thanks to her fathers already glamerous and well known name in the herbology world. But Piper was different from her father, wasn't afraid to take risks, to make a switch here and there or open up things to see how they work. This new project had taken years to complete, something she worked on in the spare time she had inbetween the already busy schedule she had. "Please lock up when you are done, Miss Isley." said the security guard on one of his rounds. It was 11:49 pm, and they were the only ones left in the building. She saw no problem, she was in a wing where no one else would be for quite some time until her exhibit was open in the next week. Piper glanced up from the scattered notes and open books on the floor around her, pushing her glasses up her nose as she looked to the man. "S.... sure thing, Mr. Vanelli." she said shyly, tucking her hair behind her ear. She was shy, a bit of an awkward woman when it really came down to it. As a genius, she was the top of her class, quick with an answer or to question why this or why that. She immediately dropped her eyes as she felt the man look her over, preferring to return to the work at hand rather than hold a conversation with the older portly man. She hadn't worked this hard just for someone to distract her and prevent her exhibit from opening on time! Honestly for the hours of time she'd put into this damn project, you'd think she'd be more prepared. Nope. Papers were scattered about the exhibit, sheets of paper with scribbled notes on them taped to displays. At the far end of the section in a glass case was a multicolored orchid, Pipers exclusive hybrid plant. It was beautiful, the scent filling the room with the smell of tropics. "Can't wait for this to be done so I can go home..."
<br>
<BR>
Lights dimmed, the voices faded, the hallways echoed and groaned. Piper was alone. She felt the heavy weight of the huge building, could almost hear the voices talking about how beautiful her exhibit was. But that was the future, and this was now. Fuck, pay attention. She hadn't wanted to get so distracted, but Forest had spent most of the day hiding out in his crate. "Alright, everyones gone so you can come out, but dont mess anything up!" she scolded gently as she opened up the crate. The badger inside huffed at her, seeming to wrinkle his nose as he shuffled out. Piper shook her head, moving to step back into her circle of notes and pictures. The Louvre. Hell, how the hell had she come so far? Had time really flown so fast that she barely noticed her popularity growing? Well, no. She just refused to acknowledge it. She was still on edge from when her boss had almost killed her, still partially deaf from that cheap shot during her Quidditch game. But all in favor of a better life. Right? Wrong. Piper was constantly busy now, constantly stressed. Her ginger hair was pulled back into a messy bun, held together by only a pencil and a bit of magic. Her knitted sweater was wrinkled beyond repair, her black pants smudged with chalk and paint, and fucking hell if she didn't know where her shoes were. But there wasn't time for that. It was time to start putting things up.
<br>
<br>
Piper kneeled in the middle of her little circle, pushing her glasses up her face as they started to fall down the bridge of her nose. Forest had disappeared, once again, for favor of the exhibit next to hers. It was a rare egyptian tomb that had finally been uncovered, and honestly she found its contents to be quite interesting. Not that she went in there or anything, because ya know, it's not even open yet. Okay, well maybe she had taken a little peak while that damned nosey guardsman had finally left. She turned, a flick of her wand, a shuffle of papers, the closing of books. She stared down at the slowly growing stack and sighed. Well, she really had brought a lot of stuff. She shoved the books one by one into her bag, slowly gathering up the stack of papers. She clutched them to her chest, looking down at her feet for a moment and a shiver passed over her. She could almost hear the clack of shoes echoing through the museum, hear the tap of a cane against stone floor. Wait.. that wasn't her imagination. Piper paused for a moment, tilting her head slightly to see where the sound was coming from. As she turned to head into the part of her exhibit that her plant was held, she ran smack dab into a guardsman, dropping all her papers. "Oh dear, I'm so sorry. That's totally my fault." she dropped to her knees and started gathering up her papers, fingers fumbling for the pages on the stone floor. "Terribly sorry, I hope you're alright-" she paused as she glanced at the man. Expensive italian shoes. Her eyes trailed up, up the green suit, the fancily tailored suit that fit the form of a man she did not know. Who was most definitely not a guardsman. "I.. I'm sorry. If your the egyptian exhibit owner I'm so sorry I went over there. I was just so curious." she apologized, a blush stealing across her freckled cheeks as she finally stood.

Piper pushed the mess of fiery hair from her face, rolling her eyes to the ceiling as she pushed away from her desk. Her office was a mess of research papers, drawings, graphs, and all sorts of other sciency things. Her microscope had fallen over, her notebook coffee stained and wrinkled from months of wear. Being nose deep in research wasn't all fun and games you know. There were endless hours of testing, mixing, and failures. Her last test had proven the dangers of experimental hybrid plants. She was now partially deaf in her left ear, though it was slowly starting to heal. Forest barked at her from under her desk, rifling through the papers under the oak stump desk until he'd finally waded into the hallway. He looked at her as if to say are you fucking coming or what? and Piper laughed. Grabbing her smokes and lighter she marched out the door and down the coastline.
<br>
<br>
Sweet Merlin someone help this poor child. Piper gazed down at Forest, arms crossed across her chest and a cigarette in her mouth. How many times had she warned that damned animal that he would get electrocuted if he ate those damn weeds? More than enough. Luckily she'd protected him from a lot of things via potion from her pal Sully. The damn animal was always getting into trouble, and honestly she was starting to have enough of it. "You are hopeless, you know that?" Piper said quietly before taking a drag of her cigarette. Forest glared up at her, making a snuffling growl sound at her before going back to eating the electrified weeds that Sameli had planted. How many times have I told that kid to knock it off. I swear I'm going to leave some in his room at some point. Gods. The sea crashed along the coastline as she walked along the path to her house, dressed in a dark green blouse and black jeans, and of course, bare feet. She enjoyed the earth between her toes, the softness of the grass. She had finally had enough time to get away from her little cabin, the small space beginning to feel quite cramped after doing so much research. The sun was finally out, shining bright on Pipers fiery hair, making it a stark contrast to the green and blue of her surroundings.
<br>
<br>
Piper shoved a hand through her fiery mane, wincing slightly as it caught in some tangles. Forest was of in front of/to the side of her, watching her as he snuffled through the tall wild flowers. As she looked down in her little notebook, her brows furrowed. Honestly why did I even want to mix that mandrake with the firetail chenille anyway. Should have mixed it with the venesian flytrap. She took a deep drag of her cigarette, feeling the smoke fill her lungs. For someone who was into taking care of the environment, she sure wasn't taking very good care of herself by smoking. But hey, she looked hot while doing it. So don't mess with a good thing, right? Forest made a sort of barking sound, darting ahead of the redhead as she walked along the path. "What's gotten into you? she asked as the animal zoomed by. She let her wand fall from her sleeve, gripping it tightly as they headed towards the greenhouse where she kept all of her plants.
<br>
<br>
Piper watched as Forest skidded to a stop in front of the greenhouse, black nose nudging at the door. He was growling now, a low sound that made him sound fierce but was a stark contrast to his adorable fluffiness. She could hear someone talking to themselves as they rummaged through her herbs and specialized hybrid plants. In the healing section. I swear to god if there's some junkie in my greenhouse I'm going to cut a bitch. she stomped ahead, quickly closing the long distance between where she was to where the greenhouse stood. A hissed breath left her as she skidded to a stop in front of the greenhouse, pushing the door the rest of the way open as she crept inside. She caught a sight of blonde hair, though whether it was a man or a woman she wasn't sure. She slinked around the boxed gardens, watching as Forest slowly stalked towards the intruder as well. Piper glanced over the blonde woman as she got closer, raising her wand and pressing it into the womans back as she slowly turned her around."Who are you and what do you wa-" she paused in the middle of her threat as the woman turned fully toward her, her brows raising in shock as she took a step back. Why is it that beautiful women always wander into my neck of the woods? What god did I please to let this happen? Merlin, I am so blessed. Piper crossed her arms across her chest, pushing a small smirk onto her face as she looked the woman up and down. "You know, it's kind of polite to ask someone if you can borrow some of their plants instead of just breaking into their greenhouse." she teased lightly, shoving a long fingered hand through her red hair.

Piper had been couped up in her office all morning, going over detention slips and stray notes from her latest hybrid plant. The oak desk was littered with papers and coffee stains and crumpled pieces of paper, pens and pencils scattered about the floor. A grumbling chirp sounded from by her feet, and she pushed her chair back to reveal a very grumpy badger between her legs. The redhead gazed down at the animal with a scowl on her face, "if you didnt want me to wake you up, then don't sleep there." She growled. She immediately regretted scolding the animal as he nipped at her bare feet, before he tickled her with his wet nose. "Listen, dipweed, weve got stuff to do. Why dont you go outside?" The badger snuffled at her, pawing at the ground with his large paws before he squeezed out from under the desk. Forest was large, even for a badger, kept fit and energized, not to mention safe from many things, by the magic plants she fed him. Occasionally he would go out and forage for himself, but he liked to stick close by mom. Piper snorted a laugh at him as she pushed her red mane out of her face, tying kt back with a green scrunchie, before pulling a pack of smokes from her side drawer. Sticking the cigarette between her lips she tapped her wand to the tip of it, inhaling deeply as it slowly lit. She took a deep drag, beflre exhaling through her nose. The badger seemed to glare up at her as if to say those will kill you, ya know. before bounding out the door as it was pushed open.
<br><br>
Piper sighed heavily, adjusting the laces on her black boots. She was dressed in loose fitting black jeans and a dark green blouse, rolled up at the sleeves for the warm day. She blew another puff of smoke from her lips, watching as Forest bounded through the patch of flowers by the small cabin she called home. "Hey! Get out of there! Forest come on dont eat that!" Piper chuckled, wading through the flowers and ushering him away from the weird ghost-looking weeds. They would electrocute Forest everytime he tried to eat them, but it didnt really seem to faze him much because he was always munching on them. "Were gonna need to have another talk with Sam about that." She sighed, extinguishing her cigarette in the stand up ashtray shed set up by the coastline. The acent of flowers surrounded her, and she embraced the smell. It had become quite peaceful at the odd school, and she wasnt bothered as much as when she was a professional Quidditch player. Wait... What the fuck was that sound? Piper turned to stare down the coastline, carching sight of a shine of blonde hair a ways down. Forest had seen them too. Piper knew that only meant trouble as the animal was quite aggressive to people in his territory. And I mean known to bite people. Not hard enough to break the skin, but getting bit by a random badger was pretty weird, even for this school. Forest looked at Piper, then back at the person on the beach. "Dont do it. Don't you fucking do it! Forest! Listen to me!" She yelled, watching as the badger darted down the coast line towards the person, befote sighing heavily and takong off after him. Who on earth could be on the beach at this time?

<h1>PERSONALITY</h1>
Where to even start? Piper is an eccentric and well-meaning individual who cares a lot about plants. She's also a genius and is super sexy. Everyone she has come in contact with says she comes off as a flowery, and very wonderful person to be around. As a bubbly and outgoing person Piper is quick with a joke and a smile. If you need help with something, specifically herbology homework, Piper is the person you should see. She loves to be right, to take you to that special place in your mind where you second guess everything you know.

Piper can seem complex and ambivalent, or the simplest creature in the world, depending on one's frame of reference. By muggle standards, she is a ruthless botanist, a worldly-wise seductress, and a painfully naive child, all at the same time. This may also be the reason why she stopped thinking of herself in muggle terms — they just don't seem to form a coherent frame of reference... after her personal vendetta of seducing and ultimately betraying and hurting men just as she was seduced and hurt, Piper finally moved on to deeper meaning. By denying all that is human inside her, she was able to negate the part of her she perceives as weak, as vulnerable, naive. The part of her that was betrayed, hurt, and abused. The new part that had risen from the ashes of her former self like the phoenix of yore was something else. Beautiful, enticing and lethal, it was predator rather than prey, the shape of revenge — revenge for her former, weaker self as well as her more stationary brethren

She is somewhat disgruntled that her old partner in science refused to acknowledge the similarity of their missions and colors her misguided so he can seem saner.

As she found meaning in protecting those she cared for and safety in her magic, she eventually managed to open up to muggles as well, reluctantly accepting children into her greenhouse at first, and finally an almost-equal in the shape of Harley Quinn, a kindred spirit who had also been betrayed and abused by the man she loved.

<p>

<h1>HISTORY</h1>
Piper Elizabeth Isley was born to two wealthy parents, Dr. Forrester Isley and his wife Dr. Rose Isley in a Belfast, Ireland. They lived in a modest house at the edge of the sea, where the air was cold, the sun bright, and water freezing cold. Growing up, her mother had a greenhouse. Her father had built it for her mother while she was pregnant with her, and Piper loved to visit the greenhouse. She felt at home among the flowers and shrubs. That greenhouse seemed to be the safe haven for them in that beautiful corner of their world. The plants survived thanks to Rose's magic, but as Piper got older, she noticed that her mother started to weaken, the plants start to wither and die.Forrester became distraught, watching his wife falling apart at the seems, and drove her and Piper to the nearest hospital. There, Rose has diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, that had spread to her lungs and her brain. Piper, being the young and stubborn girl that she was, looked into the books of her parents, trying to find a cure, something, anything to help her mother. They started chemo, a mastectomy, and many other procedures to try and contain cancer, but it soon took such a toll on Rose that she was just a shell of what piper remembered of her mother. She passed away soon after pIpers sixth birthday. "Promise me you'll take care of the plants. IT is our future, to pollinate the world...." were her last words to Piper. She took them to heart, and with the help of her father they were able to bring the plants back to life, in fact, they flourished. It was then that Piper took an intense interest in botany and flowers like her parents had.
<p>
When she was seven she was accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, sorted into Slytherin, and thus began her descent into the darker part of herself. During her first few years at Hogwarts, she was bitter, kept to herself and ignored basically everyone. The only place she really opened up was when she was in the herbology room, asking questions, taking notes. "You are excelling past your year, Piper." the herbology professor told her one day after she'd filled out homework for one of the senior classes. This was in her fourth Hogwarts, and a smile plastered across her face. People admired Piper for her smarts, for how she could help them if they asked, and she soon became a popular tutor for students struggling in herbology. Despite only having focused solely on her Herbology studies, she managed to continue to stun her professors with her intelligence and will to learn anything and everything they had to teach her. During Pipers fifth year, she had been helping the groundskeeper to replant a tree, as it had been torn apart by badgers. The badgers had since been moved, but as the tree was lifted from the ground to be transplanted to another plot, a gray and white ball of fur fell with a tumble from a mess of roots and dirt, and a low grumble greeted her ears. "Wait! There's something there!" she yelled, waving her hands as she darted forward. A flash of claws, a sparkle of white teeth and gums. It was a baby badger. No bigger than a squirrel, it glared up at Piper as if to say, Hey! What's the big idea? I was napping! A rummage of her bag for a few seconds, the baby badger was soon wrapped snuggly in a blanket and tucked into her arms. It had lost its mom, just like Piper. Its father was god knows where. "That animal is dangerous! You should let us kill it. It won't survive." warned her professors. But, stubbournPstubborn. The badger reminded her of herself, stubborn. Angry at the world. Not afraid to bite your face off if you got too close. She named it Forest after her father, a token to remember him by as he was constantly at work, studying and trying to save the world as usual. It was a lonely time for her when she was home, only herself and Forest to keep her company. In her sixth year of school, Piper decided to take a turn at something else. Test her skills if you will. She joined the Quidditch team. Everyone was surprised, even her, at how well she did as a seeker for the team. She was fast., with how skinny she was she was extremely aerodynamic. She weaved around everyone else, fit into the smallest spaces. She threw all her rage into grabbing that infernal snitch, and when she finally did, everyone was staring at her wide-eyed and surprised. The girl who kept to herself and was a nerd for plants finally found something she was good at outside of homework and studying. By the time she graduated, she had been offered a place on thEe professional Irish Quidditch team. She accepted, reluctantly, but convinced them to let her take some more schooling before she settled down for good in her Quidditch career.
<p>
Piper graduated top of her class, straight a's across the board. People asked her what she would do instead of herbology or the quidditch career that she was offered, and all she would say was,"Oh I'll get to that eventually. Plants are first." And it was true, she'd promised her mother that she'd work on her botany degree after leaving Hogwarts. That is exactly what she did, enrolling in the London School of Agriculture and Botany. There was little she didn't already know, and her professors, like at Hogwarts, were impressed by how much knowledge she knew. Though once realizing who her father was, they would praise her and tell her how they loved her work. They recommended her for an internship before graduation, working with a Dr. Arthur Fern, a radical botanist, and son to another Wizard Herbologist, who wanted to mix magical and muggle plants to create a hybrid to try and cure different diseases. They had successful trials with mixing a type of seeded flower and a mandrake to try and reduce the number of cancer cells in mice, but during a missed diagnosis, Piper was exposed to a fully matured mandrake hybrid. The scream nearly killed her, until Dr.Fern was able to drag her away from the harmful scream. He rushed her to the nearest hospital, though they could do little for her. She was soon deaf in one ear and has chronic headaches and the occasional seizure. She quit her work with Dr. Fern after learning he had stolen all of her notes and used them to design a plant to create magical cancer that would transfer from one person to another just through touch. After contact with the Ministry of magic, she was put in touch with an author, James Sullivan, who helped her track down Dr.Fern and destroy his research and all of the drives he had the information backed up on. She soon returned to her small town life with Forest in tow, until she was offered her spot back on the Quidditch team after she healed. She played for the team for several years, travelling the globe, meeting new people, learning new languages. Piper was stunned at the number of plants that she did not know the name of, that she did now realize had so many medicinal qualities. Each new place brought a new plant, and each time she would write it down in her notebook, making a note to look more into it at a later date.
<P>
Piper continued to be a seeker for the Irish Quidditch team until she was twenty-eight, when she was hit in the chest with a beater, knocking the wind from her and breaking several of her ribs. She ended up in the hospital once again, but thanks to her good friend James Sullivan who now worked as a healer at Beauxbatons, she was healed in a matter of weeks with nothing more than a sore chest. She eventually gave up her career as a professional Quidditch player in pursuit of something a little less, well dangerous. Piper was soon offered the job of the groundskeeper, courtesy of an owl from her father, at Durmstrang. She thought about it, sitting around at her house tending to her plants and just in general fucking around. After having a long discussion about the job and requirements and things she wanted to do on the grounds, including if she could bring Forest, she reluctantly agreed. Cause you know, it's dark and gloomy over there and everyone needs a little sunshine, right?

<h1>CONNECTIONS</h1>
A big shout out to Sigyn and Dannie AND ESPECIALLY KIT for helping me with Information on Poison Ivy. I looked up her personality, taking key words such as she was a seductress, had an intolerance of men, her want to be a better person and florish the world in flowers. I added Forest the badger as a 'henchman' because who doesn't adore an adorable henchman! Instead of having her get powers from a seed, obviously she is a witch with intense herbology skill! Instead of having her boss actually try to kill her in so many words, I had there be an accident instead where she was exposed to some toxic hybrid plant that they were trying to 'cure' cancer with, but instead her boss had ulterior motives and was going to wipe out the entire world, not just Piper to steal her research. I of course used Sully, my big fluffy auror man, to represent Batman helping her track down her old boss and destroy all the research including back ups and harddrives. Oh! I made her groundskeeper because I didn't want her to have a whole park like that she owned, but grounds that she could wander around, bringing plants of all kinds to life and making the area beautiful and florished with wild flowers and shrubs and stuff. And of course Rose Leslie for a faceclaim because HOT GINGERS.
